ARI Hand Valve Is Ideal For HVAC Applications

The Euro-Wedi from ARI-Armaturen is a high-performance hand valve specifically designed for the isolation and control of fluids up to 130C, making it ideal for HVAC applications. Tony Harrison, operations manager at ARI-Armaturen, said: 'The special shape of the plug shears debris and dirt away from the seat. 'This design feature of the stem sealing system (patent pending) results in a reliable seal as well as delivering a virtually linear flow characteristic, which means the Euro-Wedi valve can be used to accurately control/throttle flow to heater batteries, and so on.

'Charts and figures are available that relate the valve KVS to valve opening, the straight-through design also means that Zeta values (a measure of disturbance) are good and the tight shut-off ability with a soft seal means isolation of plant for maintenance or repair is simplified with consequent cost and labour savings,' he added. The Euro-Wedi hand valve offers easy operation - it features a low operating torque plus position indicator, travel limiter and locking device as standard. The non-rising hand wheel ensures convenient handling, even when space is restricted.

The product has increased durability due to the gentle insertion of the plug into the self-aligning sealing area. An insulating cap with integrated dew point barrier offers added corrosion protection. The Euro-Wedi is available in two lengths: flanged PN16, or screwed ends up to 2in. It is said to offer cost and energy savings due to the flow-friendly plug shape and maintenance-free design. Euro-Wedi has CE safety approval to the Pressure Equipment Directive, features a double sealing mechanism and is free of PCKW and PCB.
