Barebone System Comes With Two Expansion Slots

Axiomtek's IPC912-211-FL fanless barebone system with two expansion slots is targeted at industrial-automation, kiosk, point-of-information, digital-signage, gaming and DVR applications. The IPC912-211-FL, which is built with the Intel GM45 Express chipset and ICH9M Southbridge, supports socket P Intel Core2 Duo and Celeron M processors up to 2.53GHz with a 667/800/1,066MHz FSB. Two 204-pin SODIMM sockets support up to 8Gb DDR3 800/1,066 system memory.

To satisfy an expansion capability requirement for industrial needs, the compact IPC912-211-FL provides two expansion slots with four different combinations of PCI and PCIe slots: two PCIe x1; one PCIe x1 and one PCIe x4; one PCI and one PCIe x4; and one PCIe x4 and one PCI-X. Through the integrated Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD, the industrial-grade IPC916-211-FL offers 3D graphics and supports numerous display options including VGA, LVDS and DVI. Certified with CE marking, the IPC912-211-FL is an application-ready barebone system measuring 142 x 248 x 185mm.

It features input/output (I/O) connections on one side of the housing, including two Gigabit Ethernet ports, six USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports (three RS-232 ports and one RS-232-422-485 port), a VGA port and a remote switch connector. This all-in-one barebone system also features powerful storage interfaces, including one 2.5in (6.4cm) SATA HDD drive bay and a Compactflash socket. The IPC912-211-FL uses the industry-grade Phoenix-type or DC-jack power connector plug and supports a 10-30VDC 150W power supply, making it easier to apply in a wider range of environments.

Windows Vista, Windows CE, Windows XP Embedded and Linux are all supported. Eric Chiang, product manager of the Applied Computing and Network Device business unit at Axiomtek, said: 'Built on the Intel GM45 Express chipset, the IPC912-211-FL supports a socket P Intel Core2 Duo processor up to 2.53GHz with two DDR3 8Gb system memory. 'The integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4,500MHD offers enhanced graphics and increased I/O bandwidth.

'To fulfil different application needs, this fanless box computer comes with complete expandability, including USB, COM, LAN, VGA and especially PCI and PCIe slots,' he added. A fanless design and thermal solution keep the system cool. This RoHS-compliant product will be available at the end of June 2010.
