CD-adapco announces energy simulation forum

CD-adapco is hosting a forum to show how 3D flow, thermal and stress simulation are facilitating design and development for risk avoidance and performance improvement in the energy sector. The second annual Simulation for Energy Engineering Starglobal Forum will feature more than a dozen presentations from industry leaders, industrial technology partners and CD-adapco's engineering simulation specialists. The presentations will include the latest performance improvement and design innovation from all aspects of oil and gas, nuclear, wind and energy conservation applications.

Attendees will be offered a complete outline of the business benefits of simulation and realistic implementation strategies. 'Keynote sessions will include a global picture of the energy industry, as well as tangible strategies for tapping into secure and clean energy sources while considering environmental, health, policy and performance issues,' said Dennis Nagy, CD-adapco, vice-president of business development and energy sector director. CD-adapco's simulation experts will be on hand at the event to discuss key technology advancements and answer questions.

Prof Milovan Peric, published author of multiple CAE books, will be discussing advances in flow and thermal simulation for offshore and marine engineering. Prof Simon Lo, CD-adapco's director of multiphase flow development, will be highlighting the Star-Olga Link. In addition to the forum, the event will host a series of workshops and demonstrations.
