Cloth Belts Ideal For Wet Cylindrical Grinding

3M Trizact cloth belts are designed for wet centreless, flat finishing and polishing on a range of materials including titanium, zirconium and steel alloys. The 363FC and 463FC products are said to deliver a controlled and predictable wear rate, resulting in fewer belt changes and reduced machinery downtime. The belts are constructed of aluminium oxide (363FC) and silicon carbide (463FC) mineral bonded to a durable cloth backing.

Using the belts in conjunction with existing Trizact products produces constant and measured finishes along with extended life when compared with conventional abrasive methods - also avoiding the 'wild scratches' often encountered with other abrasives. 3M's Trizact technology consists of a micro-replicated pattern of tiny, three-dimensional pyramids, which wears evenly, constantly exposing new layers of mineral to deliver a more consistent, predictable finish. Their consistent finish makes the belts ideal for wet centreless, flat finishing and polishing and fine blanking applications, as well as clutch plate deburring and wet cylindrical grinding.
