Cordex Updates Centurion XP Explosion-Proof Camera

Cordex introduced the Centurion XP Dual camera at the recent Sabic Technical Meeting, held in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. The Centurion XP Dual is certified for use in explosive atmospheres in both vapour and mining applications. It is certified to Atex standards I/II 2/M2 G / Ex d Mb/ Exd IIC T4 Gb. This allows inspection professionals to capture crystal-clear digital images within hazardous (explosive) areas.

The Centurion XP Dual is supplied as standard with both a macro lens (allowing detailed images from as close as 50mm) and a wide-angle lens for larger views. The Centurion XP Dual is supplied as standard with two illumination options for low-light working conditions. The high-intensity strobe flash enables wide-area illumination while the low intensity LED lamp is designed for close-up work and movie capture.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
