Dry Air Purging System Simplifies Humidity Removal

The Brownell NEPS1000 Dual Voltage is a fully self-contained automatic dry air purging system, which is designed to simplify and improve the process of humidity removal. The NEPS1000 Dual Voltage has made the NEPS technology more versatile by including 100/240VAC and 24VDC power inputs on the same unit, according to the company. The system is designed to remove the built-in (hygrosopic) moisture content from electronic optical high-voltage equipment, instruments and storage containers.

The NEPS1000 Dual Voltage features a built-in dry air generator, which enables the self generation of extremely dry, clean air, which is said to be ideal for equipment conditioning. In addition to the onboard molecular sieve drying system, externally supplied inert gases can be used if oxygen inhibition is required. The single-connection purging system provides an LCD readout of both pressure and dewpoint. In conjunction with these parameters, it is possible to perform other functions, including leak testing, gas quality (dewpoint testing) and automatic gas control.

The system also performs moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR) testing. The NEPS1000 Dual Voltage takes its electrical supply from a standard IEC connector (100/240VAC, 50/60Hz). The 24VDC option is supplied via a Patt 105-type connector. These options make the NEPS1000 Dual Voltage portable and suitable for use in a variety of applications.
