GN 709.1 Clamping Pads Provide Mobile Support

JW Winco is offering the GN 709.1 clamping pads with threaded stem, which can be used as mobile supports or as a backstop for securing or clamping workpieces. These RoHS-compliant, metric-sized clamping pads have a body made of case-hardened steel with a black phosphate finish.

The ball is hardened steel with a plain finish. Two types are available: with smooth contact face or with serrated contact face. The ball is limited to an angular movement of no more than 9deg. A version with serrated tapped ball insert is available upon request.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
