RDP Transducers Measure Ultra-High Pressure

RDP Electronics is offering transducers for the measurement of ultra-high pressures at elevated temperature found in autoclaves, for example, or for burst pressure measurement. Pressure transducers from the standard RDP range can handle 50,000 to 60,000psi. RDP is now offering transducers that can handle 100,000psi.

Offering high accuracy and high resolution, with versions for gauge or absolute pressure for fluids or gas, these pressure transducers are typically of stainless-steel construction with 4-20mA output.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
