Alpeco to Launch Metering System at FPS Expo 2011

Alpeco, a liquid-handling equipment company specialising in road tanker equipment, industrial meters and tanker loading skids, will launch the TE550 Checkmate II metering system at the FPS Expo 2011. The company will be found on Stand C27 at the Harrogate International Centre. The TE550 Checkmate II metering system supersedes the original TE550 and features advanced software incorporating the facility to handle up to seven different products, additive injection, fully automated temperature compensation and precise electronic flow and pressure control, all housed in a redesigned cabinet.

According to Alpeco, temperature compensation is a big issue; liquid fuels expand and contract as temperature changes and the accurate delivery of product regardless of temperature has long been a problem in the industry. The TE550 Checkmate II addresses this issue and deals with temperature differences automatically. Industry-critical NMO/MID system approvals for the TE550 Checkmate II have been amended for the new product, which can also handle a minimum delivery volume of 150 litres. Contamination, another major problem that can be costly when the wrong product is delivered into a customer's heating oil tank, has also been addressed, as has traceability, especially with the increasing cost of oil-based products.
