Eriks to Distribute Castrol Industrial Lubricants

Eriks and Castrol Industrial UK have announced a partnership that will see Eriks undertake the national distribution of Castrol Industrial's high-performance lubricant range. Castrol's strategic focus on high-performance lubricants meant it was looking at partners to access the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) market. Carl Sault, distributor sales manager at Castrol UK and Ireland, said Castrol's range of lubricants aligns well with the key applications that Eriks services, including food and beverage, chemical, process and heavy industries and high-speed grease applications.

The distribution deal covers the full range of Castrol Industrial products, but an early promotional focus on higher-turnover products such as Optimol high-performance greases, Alpha SP general-purpose industrial gear oil, and Hyspin spindle oil is planned. A range of stock will be stored at Eriks's National Distribution Centre in Halesowen, with more niche products being supplied directly to Eriks Service Centres nationwide from Castrol's Doncaster site.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
