ESAB Supplies Welding Equipment for Shipweld

ESAB has confirmed that it will be sponsoring the third annual Shipweld competition and will be supplying all the welding machines and consumables for use during the final in November. The competition will comprise of Interyard competitions, with awards for the apprentice welders placed first and second. The winner and runner-up from each Interyard competition will then attend the finals at Babcock Marine, Rosyth, from 1-3 November.

The Aristo 400 electronic controlled MIG/MAG/MMA inverter-based welding machines will be used along with ESAB OK Tubrod 15.14 and electrodes. Aristo welding machines are designed for high-productivity welding applications. The new models are said to be lighter and more compact, offering advantages in mobility and convenience to save time, space and energy.
