Event to Feature Planning and Scheduling Software

Micro Planning will be giving live demonstrations of its Micro Planner X-Pert planning and scheduling software at the Project Challenge show on 30-31 March at the NEC in Birmingham. Micro Planner X-Pert is said to be an easy-to-learn and easy-to-use planning tool that is based on fundamental planning principles found in BS6079 - for example, the programme evaluation and review technique (PERT).

Advantages of the software include: work breakdown structures; logic networks for 100 projects in one file; 15,000 operations and 250 resources for simple to complex projects; earned value reporting is built in; and low cost of ownership. Micro Planner X-Pert can be used for people-based projects in transport, construction, engineering, defence and government authorities, and offers value and benefits for chief executives, directors and programme managers. It consolidates and reports on the progress and cost performance of many projects and prioritises the allocation of human and material resources.
