Exhibitors to Show Fastening and Assembly Products

The Fast Exhibition, due to take place on 12 May at the Haynes Motor Museum near Yeovil, will bring together a selection of fastener, fastening and assembly suppliers and products. The show, opening at 09:00 and closing at 15:00, is intended to provide buyers, users and specifiers from all manufacturing industries with immediate and first-hand access to a mix of suppliers.

Held alongside the Fast Exhibition is the Industrial Adhesives and Sealants Exhibition (IASE), supported by the British Adhesives and Sealants Association. This event will showcase all the latest developments in the field of chemical bonding and sealing and is targeted at manufacturing professionals using adhesives or those thinking of switching to adhesives for the first time. Entry to both exhibitions is free, as is parking at the museum.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
