GPI Supplies Wilcoxon Sensors in Colombia

GPI International now distributes Wilcoxon Research's range of accelerometers and vibration sensors to the power generation, petrochemical, oil and gas and other industrial markets in Colombia. Specifically, the company now supplies Wilcoxon's piezoelectric accelerometers, velocity sensors, cables, mounting accessories, vibration alarms, vibration transmitters, 4-20mA vibration sensors and hazardous-area sensors. GPI also sells Meggitt's Vibro-Meter product line of turbomachinery sensors and equipment for total machinery protection, condition and performance monitoring.

The Wilcoxon Research product line from Meggitt includes vibration monitoring products for industrial predictive maintenance applications and the condition monitoring of fans, motors, pumps, blowers, compressors, chillers, gearboxes and mixers to reduce failure rates in the field. GPI also serves customers in industrial markets such food and beverage, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, railway, steel making, pulp and paper and wastewater treatment plants.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
