HD-SDI-Box Kit for Broadcasting and Surveillance

IEI Technology has launched the HD-SDI-Box, a flexible video-capturing system that provides a high-definition serial digital interface (HD-SDI) for distant signal transmission. The HD-SDI-Box kit, which includes the HD-SDI-Box-M (Master) and the HD-SDI-Box-S (Slave), can transmit HDMI or VGA video signals directly through a 100m coaxial cable without compression. The HD-SDI-Box kit is suitable for professional studios, broadcasting, surveillance, and intelligent transportation system environments.

More television and broadcasting applications require equipment with an SDI or HD-SDI output. Serial digital interface (SDI) is an interface used for broadcast-grade video. High-definition serial digital interface (HD-SDI) provides a nominal data rate of 1.485Gb/s. The HD-SDI-Box kit's long-distance video transmission capability makes it suitable for a range of applications.

With one HD-SDI-Box-M (Master) and two HD-SDI-Box-S (Slave) to a PC and display device, the entire HD-SDI-Box kit can transfer video information over a distance of up to 200m. When connecting an additional HD-SDI-Box-S (Slave), the video transmission range extends up to 100m for HD video quality and 300m for SD quality. The HD-SDI-Box kit also supports a touch-screen remote control linked through the RJ-45 Cat5 cable and RS-232 cable.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
