Hepcomotion to Present Precision Ring Track System

Linear motion specialist Hepcomotion will present its PRT2 precision ring track at the Hannover Messe exhibition on 4-8 April 2011. According to the company, which will be found on Stand F10 in Hall 16, the PRT2 is a new circular and continuous motion product that is available with a selection of components and in a range of sizes, many ex-stock. The PRT2 has 45 per cent more elements than the previous-generation ring and track system.

As with all Hepcomotion products, stainless steel availability is standard. The range is claimed to allow a limitless variation of open paths and closed circuits to be created that require minimal maintenance. This friction-free, debris-tolerant and wear-resistant system also adds several new options that allow a variety of technical solutions to be engineered. These include single- and double-edge slides, a large precision-ground turntable, a high moment load carriage and bogie carriages for 'S' bends.

Suitable for customers requiring a standalone unit that is belt, screw or pneumatically operated, the range covers all applications from low to high load and from slow to fast speed. Where precise positioning is required, ballscrew drives can be specified. Where corrosion resistance and hygienic operation are prerequisites, Hepcomotion claims it has a standard solution that will meet the need. In partnership with motion control specialist Smartdrive, Hepcomotion also provides linear motion solutions complete with drives and controls.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
