Powersolve Introduces PSCH15 Battery Charger

The PSCH15 battery charger from Powersolve can automatically detect and charge up to 12 NiMH or NiCD cells. It is able to identify two to 12 cells in series and provide the necessary output to fully charge the cells and then turn itself off. Output voltage that varies depending on load is from 2.4V to 14.4V and output current is from 500mA to 1A. Safety ground leakage current is less than 0.5mA.

Overvoltage and short-circuit protection is standard, as is protection against reverse polarity. An LED status indicator confirms standby, charging and fully charged states. The PSCH15 features a universal AC input and incorporates an IEC320 C8 two-pin AC input connector. Powersolve can supply a variety of optional DC output connectors to suit specific needs.

Housed in a compact desktop plastic enclosure measuring 96 x 44 x 30mm, the PSCH15 has an operating temperature range of 0-40C. It also complies with all relevant international safety standards as well as electromagnetic compatibility compliance to EN55022 'B', CISPR 22 'B' and FCC Part 15 'B'.
