PTC Announces Details of Its UK Technology Forum

Parametric Technology (PTC) will discuss business best practices and show products such as Windchill 10.0 and Mathcad Prime 1.0 at its UK Technology Forum on 12 May at Moor Hall in Sutton Coldfield. The free, day-long forum is designed for those interested in all aspects of product development, understanding current trends and learning how PTC's solutions can help to optimise their product development processes. Organisations of all sizes are under pressure to get better products to market faster.

The challenges of globalisation, compliance and product complexity affect the ability to maintain a competitive advantage, according to the company. In addition, with the current challenges facing the global economy, efficient product development is important for achieving sustainable success. PTC claims that it will offer attendees solutions to overcome these challenges. Attendees are also encouraged to participate in roundtable discussions with industry specialists and guest speakers.

The forum begins at 09:00 with the introduction of PTC's technology vision and strategy. The agenda includes customer and product presentations, topic-oriented business tracks and a networking lunch where peers can discuss best practices for real business benefit. PTC partners and service and technology experts will be available to discuss business challenges and solutions.

Highlights will include: Windchill 10.0; Creo breakthrough technologies such as Anydata Adoption and Anyrole apps; Relex, for quality, safety and risk management; Insight, for the end-to-end management of environmental compliance and material content information; an introduction, roadmap and demonstration of Mathcad Prime 1.0; roundtable discussions with speakers including Dr Peter Rayson of Birmingham University; and the Elearning Lab, for hands-on experience with web-based training.
