Resolve Optics Introduces Motorised Zoom Lens

Resolve Optics has released a pre-launch technical specification sheet describing its new HD zoom lens for broadcast TV cameras, space-restricted machine vision operations and CCTV applications. Providing users with HD resolution throughout its range of operation, the compact, motorised Model 330 is said to be half the size and much lighter than comparable zoom lenses, measuring 87.5mm in length and weighing less than 500g. The high-performance f/1.8, 10x tracking zoom on the Model 330 ensures the image stays in focus throughout the zoom travel by utilising floating cell technology.

The Model 330 is also able to focus upon objects up to just 450mm from the lens. A novel design camera mount incorporates topside and back focus adjustment so that the lens can be quickly and easily set up on any camera. A customer-changeable rear cell enables the Model 330 to be adapted for use on camera formats between 1/3in and 2/3in including 3CCD formats.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
