Z-Comms Releases RoHS-Compliant VCO in C Band

Z-Communications has released an RoHS-compliant voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) in C band for automated surface-mount assembly and reflow and for digital radio and fixed wireless applications. The SMV5320A-LF operates at 5,245MHz to 5,395MHz with a tuning voltage range of 1-4VDC. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -81dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 170MHz/V.

The SMV5320A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 0dBm at 5VDC supply while drawing 27mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40C to +85C. This VCO features typical second harmonic suppression of -20dBc and comes in Z-Comms' standard Sub-L package measuring 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.08in (7.6 x 7.6 x 2.03mm). It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The SMV5320A-LF is suitable for digital radio and fixed wireless applications that require low phase-noise performance.
