Pressure Sensors for Intrinsically Safe Locations

TURCK introduces its new PT4400 pressure sensor series for use in intrinsically safe locations. This series utilizes a media isolated stainless steel diaphragm for use in pneumatics, water management, hydrogen storage, hydraulic systems, oil and gas, HVAC/R and industrial OEM equipment.

The PT4400 is UL/cUL 913 (CSA 157) Class I, Division 1 groups C and D when installed with an approved barrier, such as TURCK’s IM33 modules. The sensors are constructed without o-rings or welds, allowing pressure ranges up to 10,000 psi with burst pressure up to 20,000 psi.

PT4400 sensors are manufactured using MEMS (microelectro mechanical systems) technology. With it’s one piece sensing design, the PT4400 offers many advantages over other pressure sensing technologies, including high life cycle, high overload and burst pressure cycles.
