Hitachi Introduces New Advanced AC Micro Drives

Image
Hitachi America, Ltd., Industrial Components & Equipment Division, today announced the new WJ200 series of inverters. This new model advances the benchmark for performance and functionality in micro-size AC drives. The WJ200 is a sensorless vector (SLV) drive capable of 200% or greater torque across the speed range.  Speed regulation at low speed is dramatically improved – fluctuation is half that of previous models. Improved trip avoidance measures have been incorporated for unsurpassed system reliability and availability. The WJ200 offers PLC-like functionality by means of the integrated Easy Sequence (EzSQ) programming function. Programs up to 1024 lines can be created on a PC using this structured language tool, and can then be transferred to the WJ200. In this way, very sophisticated control schemes can be created without the use of external controllers. Simple position control applications are also possible with the WJ200 utilizing the integrate

The Vacon X5 HazLo AC Drive is the First of its Kind in the World

The new VACON X5 HazLo© AC Drive's unique design provides your application solution in a compact, cost effective patent designed unit. This drive has been certified for Division 2 hazardous locations, suitable for petroleum refineries, gasoline storage and dispensing areas as well as utility gas plants. In a class of its own, the VACON X5 HazLo drive has a robust design with safety yellow colored metal covers to protect against bumps and misuse.  Because there is not an additional box needed to place the drive in, cooling concerns are not an issue. This allows for even greater mounting flexibility without having to spend more money in installation costs. The VACON X5 HazLo is availabe in frame size T3 and T4 for applications ranging from 40 to 100 HP. Continuing to be the toughest AC drives on the planet, VA

New Micro Drive Product Line from ABB Designed for Simple Machine Interface

Designed to set new benchmarks in ease of use for simple machine control, the ACS250 is designed to meet the production and performance needs of system integrators, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and panel builders, as well as the requirements of end users in a broad range of applications - from augers, mixers, pumps, and fans, to conveyors. The drive offers two degrees of environmental protection, starting with the standard IP20 panelmounted chassis. For more demanding environmental conditions, such wash-down applications that require on-machine mounting, the IP66/UL Type 4x drive is the perfect solution. With its feed-thru wiring, the IP20 chassis drive easily can replace motor starters, to improve overall energy efficiency, reduce mechanical stresses and enhance the process control of many

Hitachi Introduces the SJ700B Series of Advanced AC Variable Frequency Drives for Fans, Pumps, Conveyors and More.

Hitachi America, Ltd., Industrial Components and Equipment Division, today announced the introduction of the SJ700B Series of Industrial AC Variable Frequency Drives, with full availability in late October. The SJ700B significantly expands on the performance, capabilities and functions of its predecessor, the L700. To reassert its technological leadership and ensure unmatched performance, Hitachi has broadened the applicability of this new series by incorporating and upgrading many of the original flagship SJ700 features, such as the industry-leading Sensorless Vector (SLV) control algorithm. This algorithm enables the SJ700B to develop 120% of full torque capabilities at 0 Hz in Hitachi's exclusive "0 Hz Domain" sensorless vector control mode, as well as 150% torque at 0.5 Hz in
